1. How We Collect and Use Your Personal Information
We collect information only when necessary, lawful, and justified by legitimate purposes during your use of our services. The information we collect or request from you is used to:
Ensure the basic functionality and stable operation of our product;
Deliver and enable specific features and services;
Optimize and improve our products and user experience;
Safeguard the security of our services and users;
Comply with applicable laws, regulations, and national standards.
“Personal information” refers to any data that can identify you as an individual or relates to your private communications, including but not limited to your phone number and IP address.
“Non-personal information” includes objective usage logs, operational status data, and other general information that cannot directly identify you, as well as any personal information you have voluntarily made public.
We respect the privacy of your personal information and will implement reasonable measures to protect it. Except as required by law, requested by authorized government authorities, or with your explicit consent, we will not disclose your personal information to any third party other than our trusted partners.
However, if you consent during registration, or if separate agreements exist between you, us, and our partners regarding disclosure, such exceptions apply. In these cases, you assume all associated risks, and we shall not be liable.
(a) Device Permissions
When using certain features (e.g., real-time video creation), we may request the following device permissions. You may grant or deny these at your discretion:
Camera Permission
Required when changing your profile picture or using the camera function. We collect photos and videos you provide (personal information). Denial only disables this feature and does not affect other functionalities. You may refuse during permission prompts or disable it via your device settings.
Read Phone State Permission
Used to recognize your identity, analyze usage patterns, and verify you as a legitimate user. We collect IMSI, IMEI, and AndroidID (personal information). Denial only limits this identification function; other features remain unaffected.
Read External Storage Permission
Needed when importing photos/videos from your gallery to create content. We access media files stored on your device (personal information). Refusal only prevents media import.
Write External Storage Permission
Required to save created videos to your device’s gallery. We write media files to your storage (personal information). Denial only prevents saving; other functions operate normally.
Access Installed Apps List
Purpose: GroMore Ads (by Pangle) uses this permission on Android to check whether a target app is already installed, avoiding irrelevant ad delivery and improving ad relevance.
Collection Method: Requires your authorization.
Data Collected: List of installed applications.
Clipboard Access
Used when copying customer support email addresses, redemption codes, or pasting codes into the app.
(b) Direct Collection and Use of Personal Information
We collect information through both active submission and automated means during service usage:
Ensuring Core Service Functionality
To maintain stable operation, we collect:
Device info (manufacturer, model, OS, battery level, sensor data)
Device identifiers (IMEI, OAID, MAC, AndroidID, IDFA, OpenUDID, GUID, SIM IMSI/ICCID, IP)
Network details (Wi-Fi, carrier, connection type, status)
Approximate location
Usage logs, installed apps, and running processes
These are essential for service delivery.
Account Registration, Authentication, and Login
(1) You may register and log in using your phone number.
(2) For core features like video creation, upload, or download, Chinese law may require real-name verification (phone number). Without it, core features will be unavailable, though basic services remain accessible.
Such data is classified as sensitive personal information. We apply industry-standard safeguards and make commercially reasonable efforts to protect it.
Search Services
We collect your search queries and logs. Some data may be temporarily stored locally to display search history and results.
Service and User Security
To monitor system health and prevent abuse, we log network activity, crash reports, usage frequency, installation stats, and performance metrics.
(c) Changes to the Purpose of Processing
As our services evolve, we may adjust how we use your data. If new purposes are not reasonably compatible with the original ones, we will notify you and obtain fresh consent.
(d) Legal Exceptions to Consent Requirement
Under applicable laws and standards, we may process your personal information without consent in the following circumstances:
(1) Directly related to national or defense security;
(2) Necessary for public safety, public health, or major public interests;
(3) Required for criminal investigation, prosecution, trial, or enforcement;
(4) Urgently needed to protect life, property, or other vital legal rights where consent is impractical;
(5) Information you have voluntarily disclosed to the public;
(6) Information lawfully obtained from public sources (e.g., news reports, government disclosures);
(7) Necessary to fulfill a contract you requested;
(8) Essential to maintain service security and stability (e.g., troubleshooting);
(9) Required for legitimate journalistic purposes;
(10) For academic research in the public interest, provided data is anonymized in published results;
(11) Other situations stipulated by law.
Note: Data that cannot identify you—alone or combined with other information—is not considered personal information. However, if such data is later linked to your identity, it becomes personal information and will be protected under this Policy during the linkage period.
2. Use of Cookies and Similar Technologies
Cookies and similar tracking technologies are standard tools on the internet. When you use NianNian, we may place one or more cookies or anonymous identifiers on your device to collect and store usage data.
We use these technologies primarily to:
(a) Ensure Secure and Efficient Service Operation
Authentication and security cookies help verify your login status and detect fraudulent activity. They also improve response speed and system efficiency.
(b) Enhance User Experience
These technologies remember your preferences (e.g., auto-login, video creation history), reducing repetitive inputs.
We will not use cookies for purposes beyond those stated in this Policy.
3. How We Store Your Information
(a) Storage Location
All personal information collected during our operations in China is stored within the People’s Republic of China. We currently do not transfer data outside China. Should cross-border transfers become necessary in the future, we will obtain your explicit consent in compliance with applicable laws.

Chat records (including text, images, and files) are retained for a maximum of 7 calendar days from the time of transmission. After this period, records are automatically and irreversibly deleted without human intervention, minimizing data retention risks.
4. How We Share, Transfer, or Disclose Your Information
(a) Sharing and Transfers
We do not share or transfer your personal information to third parties unless:
You provide prior consent, or
The data has been de-identified such that re-identification is not reasonably possible.

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer, your data may be transferred to a successor entity. We will ensure the recipient maintains equivalent or stronger protections, or obtain your renewed consent.
